Time off from work:
Because the events of the Oiyama often fall on weekdays, the participaring employees will have to be excused from work for a few days.

Often the Employees will want to take the whole two weeks of the festival free. Some managers do not tolerate the leave from work and threaten to fire people who take time off, mostly however the buisnesses managers give holidays during this time and expect harder work during the rest of the year.
