Choosing of the carriers:
The Bōzeri is the process by which the carriers of the Kakiyama are chosen.
A group of young men stand in line before a judge with their sides toward him. They each try to push themselves forward while making serious faces. The judge meanwhile only stays with each group shortly and chooses the carriers by slapping on their arms.
