Hashiru-Kazariyama

The running of the Kazariyama:
Aslo called the 8th Yamakasa of Kamikawabata-toori, this event came up in 1964 when the idea to show the old days of the Yamakasa came up. Originally the Kakiyama had been as big as the Kazariyama, but had to be made smaller due to the overhead electricity power lines. So today Kamikawabata-tooris Kazariyama is carried after the Kakiyama during the Shudanyamamise and the Oiyama. It is one of the greatest views of the Festival.
