Mourning ceremony:
Mourning ceremony to those who have passed on since the last years ceremony, also called funeral ceremony.
After the Shudanyamamise on the 13th of July, the Kakiyama each pay a visit to the houses of the deceased of their district, where small altars are already setup. Here the carriers and friends of thank the deceased and sing the “Hakata Iwaimedeta”.
Depending on the district this ceremony is also sometimes carried out on the 11th after the Asayama.
